First Trailer: Ben Wheatley’s “High-Rise”

Launched at the Toronto Film Festival to a fascinating response, “Kill List” and “” helmer Ben Wheatley’s latest work is a dark and disturbing adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s darkly satirical look at class warfare set entirely within an apartment block in 1975.

Tom Hiddleston, Luke Evans, Sienna Miller, Jeremy Irons, Elisabeth Moss and James Purefoy star in the film which divided the festival audience – some adoring the macarbre and twisted work, others loudly decrying it. We’ll get a better reaction when the public gets to see it at large with the UK the first to score the film on March 18th.

Today, the first trailer – of sorts – has gone online. The promo, built more like a real estate commercial than anything else and not including any suggestion of the film’s credits and barely the title, is a curious one but effective nonetheless. Check it out for yourself below:
