The first photos have been released from “Wayward Sisters,” the upcoming spin-off series based on The CW’s “Supernatural”.
The show’s first attempt with the werewolf dynasty tale “Bloodlines” a few seasons back failed to go to series, but this one has much more of a chance – assembling some of the franchise’s most popular female characters.
These include recurring characters like Kim Rhodes as Sheriff Jody Mills, Briana Buckmaster as hapless cop Donna Hanscum, Katherine Ramdeen as former vampire slave Alex Jones and Kathryn Love Newton as Claire Novak.
Joining them will be Clark Backo as Patience Turner and Yadira Guevara-Prip as Kaia Nieves, characters that have just been introduced this season. The project will get a backdoor pilot, with the intention to go ahead and launch a full series of female-fronted series away from central brothers Sam and Dean Winchester.
Said ‘pilot’ will serve as the tenth episode of season thirteen of “Supernatural” and will air January 18th.
