Rosario Dawson has joined the cast of the long-awaited “Zombieland” sequel which has also scored a title – “Zombieland: Double Tap”. The first photo from the Sony Picture project is also out.
Director Ruben Fleischer (“Venom”) and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (“Deadpool”) are all returning for the project, as are stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin.
The original followed four strangers who meet on the road in the middle of the zombie apocalypse and, while initially at each other’s throats, they soon come to bond with each other and form a close-bonded group.
The new film sees them go from the White House to the American heartland as they face off against new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first film.
Dawson will join two other new faces, Zoey Deutch and Avan Jogia, in the project which has begun production ahead of an October release.
