Last night Marvel used their “Marvel: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop” special on ABC to showcase the first big bit of footage from their upcoming “Marvel’s Agent Carter” TV series, along with some glimpses behind-the-scenes of the currently in production “Ant-Man” and the currently in post-production “Avengers: Age of Ultron”.
The two films essentially got thirty seconds of B-roll footage as part of a montage. Nothing particularly enlightening was on offer beyond a brief glimpse of Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas at work on the “Ant-Man” set. Check out CBM Trailers for that clip.
The “Agent Carter” clip was more substantial. Whilst some lucky New York Comic Con attendees got to see this a month ago, here we finally get more than the scant few seconds we glimpsed in that 15-second promo the other week.
The clip shows Peggy (Hayley Atwell) having a secret meeting with Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) on a pier where the latter basically assigns his butler Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy) to help her in her mission. There’s also a brief bit of fisticuffs where Peggy takes on an assailant in her home. The series itself goes to air in January.
