Universal Pictures has premiered a new poster and clip from Damien Chazelle’s Neil Armstrong biopic “First Man,” both arriving online yesterday which marks the same day as Apollo 11’s moon landing forty-nine years ago.
Chazelle and his “La La Land” star Ryan Gosling are teaming up again in this adaptation of James Hansen’s biography which has been adapted by Josh Singer (“Spotlight”). The film will deal with the eight years leading up to and including the moon landing. It will look at the sacrifices and the cost – on Armstrong and on the nation – of one of the most dangerous missions in history.
Claire Foy, Corey Stoll, Kyle Chandler, Jason Clarke, Shea Wigham, Jon Bernthal, Brian d’Arcy James, Pablo Schreiber, Patrick Fugit, Cory Michael Smith, Lukas Haas and Christopher Abbott co-star in the film which opens October 12th.
