We’re used to teasers of trailers these days, ten-second glimpses several days ahead the launch of a first trailer for a major blockbuster.
Paramount have taken a different approach today it would seem, using both a USA Today cover story and a full one-minute TV spot to tease the fifth “Mission: Impossible” film. The end of said clip promises a worldwide trailer launch tomorrow.
The clip confirms the film’s title – “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation,” and reveals that the plot deals with an ‘anti-IMF’, a group called The Syndicate lead by an elusive man (Sean Harris). Fans of the original TV series will certainly be familiar with that group as they served as the main antagonists during the last few seasons.
Both the trailer and the film’s poster also show off what will be the most talked about sequence – Cruise hanging off an Airbus A400 for a stunt that put the Hollywood superstar outside the plane during takeoff and landing.
