After the acclaim and international success of 2007’s “Summer Heights High”, comedian Chris Lilley is finally returning to screens this year with his third effort “Angry Boys”, a twelve-episode mockumentary series which is a co-production of ABC Australia, HBO and The BBC.
“Angry Boys” explores being a male in the 21st Century. Shot in Australia, the USA and Japan in 2009 & 2010 and edited over much of last year, Lilley once again plays several often decidedly un-P.C. characters.
Amongst them are the rather rough twin brothers Daniel and Nathan Sims whom he played in his first series “We Can Be Heroes”. He also plays Jen Okazaki, a tyrannical Japanese wife and mother of three.
