The first photos have gone up at EW from Matthew Vaughn’s “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” the upcoming sequel to 2015’s “Kingsman: The Secret Service” and the first sequel to one of his previous works that Vaughn has ever directed.
The article with the photos includes some new details about this mostly United States-set follow-up which takes Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and Merlin (Mark Strong) to the American equivalent of Britain’s Kingsman:
“Brand new, beyond-Bond gadgets include a mechanical attack dog and an electric cowboy-style lasso that slices through bad guys.
The new cast not only includes four Oscar winners, but is ridiculously cool, with Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, Halle Berry and Game of Thrones’ Pedro Pascal appearing as members of the Statesman, America’s Kingsman equivalent.
Julianne Moore also costars as a Martha Stewart-ish global entrepreneur named Poppy and Elton John pops up as a ‘Vaughn-ized’ (per the director) version of himself.”
The film opens in cinemas on September 29th.
