The first trailer for Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” has been officially classified by the BBFC and runs 89 seconds.
It’s widely expected that the clip will be attached to copies of “Doctor Strange” which opens internationally next Friday and the BBFC essentially confirms that – suggesting it will likely premiere online within the next week.
The news comes as director James Gunn has spoken a bit about the film on Twitter in the past few days and says that Karen Gillan’s character should get her own spin-off: “Nebula should lead her own film – it’s something I’ve thought about from the beginning.”
Actor Vin Diesel meanwhile has spoken with Collider about how the change in Groot’s age also leads to a change in the character’s personality:
“I always think of the Groot that we saw on the first Guardians as a college-level Groot, so he’s not fully grown yet, but he’s a man. And once he sacrifices himself at the end of the movie, now he has to start all over, so to speak, but we’re gonna see this goofy, adorable, baby Groot thing running around the screen and just learning as he goes.”
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” opens in cinemas next May.
