Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson, the writers who penned last year’s Coast Guard period drama “The Finest Hours” for Disney, are re-teaming for a non-fiction novel and a biopic about NFL quarterback champ Tom Brady.
The pair will join bestselling author Casey Sherman and Boston journalist Dave Wedge, who previously teamed on the novel “Boston Strong” which was turned into the recent feature “Patriots Day” which Tamasy and Johnson executive produced.
The Brady book and film will chronicle the New England Patriots superstar’s come-from-behind win in Super Bowl LI, but won’t shy away from controversy and will include the team’s battle to overcome 2014’s Deflategate scandal. Brady has won more Super Bowls than any quarterback in NFL history.
The writers already have cultivated several sources inside the Patriots locker room to provide a first-hand look at what went on behind the scenes at this year’s Super Bowl.
