Fincher’s “Mindhunter” Set For October 13th

Netflix has set an October 13th release date for the entire first season of David Fincher’s thriller series “Mindhunter,” his first project to make it into production since “Gone Girl”.

Fincher directed the first two episodes of this series and executive produces the show (as does Charlize Theron). The story takes place in 1979 and revolves around two FBI agents who interview serial killers in an effort to help them solve current murders.

Jonathan Groff (“Looking”), Anna Torv (“Fringe”) and Holt McCallany (“Below”) star. Fincher had been working on a pair of HBO projects, but both stalled due to budget issues, and he’s currently considering helming the “World War Z” sequel.
