Fincher Goes CG-Animated In Goon

Dark Horse Entertainment, David Fincher and Blur Studios are turning cult comic “The Goon” into a CG-animated film says says The Hollywood Reporter.

Created by Eric Powell in 1999, the comic follows the adventures of a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for a feared mobster.

The stories have a paranormal and comedic edge to them and concern ghosts, zombies, mad scientists and “skunk apes.” Dark Horse has been publishing the comic since 2003.

Powell is penning the screenplay and Fincher will produce. Though no studio is yet attached, Dark Horse has a first look deal with Universal Pictures.
