Final Trailer: Bong Joon-Ho’s “Parasite”

Final Trailer Bong Joon Hos Parasite

Undisputedly Bong Joon-Ho has delivered one of the best films of the year with his dark class satire thriller “Parasite” and today a new U.S. trailer for it has been released by NEON ahead of its October 11th limited theatrical release.

The film won the Palme d’Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and has met nothing but rave reviews across the board along with serious talk of it being a legitimate contender for a Best Picture nomination come Oscar time.

Song Kang-Ho, Lee Sun-Kyun, Cho Yeo-Jeong, Choi Woo-Shik, and Park So-Dam co-star in the film which follows two families. The Park Family: the picture of aspirational wealth, and The Kim Family: rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity.

Masterminded by college-aged Ki-woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist, to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide ‘indispensable’ luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household.

When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims’ newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the Kims and the Parks.
