James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” has wrapped production, Jon Watts’ “Spider-Man: Homecoming” has been in production for several weeks, now the third of Marvel Studios’ 2017 release features has begun shooting.
Filmmaker Taika Waititi officially began filming today on “Thor: Ragnarok,” the third film in the Chris Hemsworth-led comic book spin-off with the Aussie hunk reprising his role as the God of Thunder. Actually “Ant-Man’ director Peyton Reed was the one to announce the news, with Waititi responding with the photo below of cast member chairs on the film’s set in Queensland, Australia.
Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, and Karl Urban also star in the film which will shoot on location in Australia through late October.
