Fifty Shades Rated R For “Unusual Behavior”

The MPAA has announced their official rating for the upcoming film adaptation of E.L. James’ erotic bestseller “Fifty Shades of Grey” which opens Valentine’s Day weekend.

The Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson-led film has scored an ‘R’ rating due to “strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language”.

The film was always expected to score at least an R rating due to the nature of the material, but this indicates it made it through without nabbing the more adult and difficult to market NC-17 rating.
