Filming officially kicked off today on “Fifty Shades Darker,” the upcoming sequel to last year’s film adaptation of E.L. James’ literary sensation “Fifty Shades of Grey”. James took to Instagram to share the production’s first film slate.
James Foley is helming the follow-up from a script by James’ husband Niall Leonard. Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are set to return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in both this and the third film “Fifty Shades Freed” which will begin production immediately after ‘Darker’ wraps.
Eric Johnson, Bella Heathcote, Arielle Kebbel and Kim Basinger join the cast for the two films which will score a release on Valentine’s Day 2017 and 2018. James, Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti will produce.
