Fifth “Underworld” To Be Titled “Blood Wars”

Kate Beckinsale slips back onto the catsuit as the vampire Selene in the upcoming fifth “Underworld” feature, and today Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment have unveiled the official title – “Underworld: Blood Wars”.

Shot last year in Prague, the film sees the return of several other characters including Charles Dance as the vampire elder Thomas, and Theo James as his son and Selene’s ally David. Joining them are Tobias Menzies (“Outlander”) as a new Lycan leader, and Lara Pulver (“Da Vinci’s Demons”) as a fiercely ambitious vampire, Bradley James (“Damien”), James Faulkner (“Game of Thrones”) and newcomer Clementine Nicholson.

Anna Foerster helms from a screenplay by “The Last Witch Hunter” scribe Cory Goodman. Specifics of the plot are under wraps beyond it involving a new, younger generation of vampires and werewolves still locked in the endless struggle. No release date has yet been set.
