Filmmaker Jack Bender is no longer attached to direct the untitled fifth Jack Ryan project in development at Paramount Pictures and Skydance Pictures reports Variety.
Bender, a much in-demand TV helmer, left the project due to his small screen workload. Paramount was previously aiming to get into production on the film sometime this Summer.
Chris Pine (“Star Trek”) is still attached to play Tom Clancy’s character while the likes of David Koepp and Steve Zaillian have done work on the script. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing.
