Fickman Takes On An “Undomestic Goddess”

Andy Fickman (“Race to Witch Mountain,” “She’s the Man”) is set to direct “The Undomestic Goddess” for Universal Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.

The story follows a workaholic female attorney about to be named partner at her London firm who learns she mistakenly cost a client 50 million pounds. In a daze, she escapist the English countryside where she’s mistaken as an applicant for a maid’s position at a large manor and ends up becoming a housekeeper.

She soon discovers enjoyment in the slower life and the attention of a handsome gardener, but when she discovers a terrible secret about her firm she finds she can’t entirely escape her past.

Aline Brosh McKenna (“The Devil Wears Prada”) is adapting the script from Sophie Kinsella’s best-selling novel.
