Comedy giants Ted Danson (“The Good Place”) and Tina Fey (“30 Rock”) are teaming for a new and currently untitled TV comedy which Universal Television has received a thirteen-episode straight to series order for from NBC.
Danson will play a wealthy businessman who runs for mayor of Los Angeles for all the wrong reasons. When he wins, he has to figure out what he stands for, gain the respect of his staff, and connect with his teenage daughter.
Fey will write and produce alongside Robert Carlock. Jeff Richmond and David Miner will executive produce the show which is the first of the current regime to be greenlit straight-to-series.
