With the future of the “Spider-Man” franchise at Sony in such a state of flux right now, it’s understandable that the talk of a spin-off film about several key women within the “Spider-Man” universe has fallen by the way side.
Someone who was set to be a part of that was Felicity Jones (“The Theory of Everything”) who did a cameo as Felicia Hardy in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”. In the comics, the character becomes the heroine Black Cat. Speaking with Clevvver Movies recently, she was asked whether she would even be interested in reprising the role:
“Well, she’s such a great character in the comics. I mean, if that happened, that would be lovely. There are no plans, but I’d love to play her. She’s a fantastic, awesome female characters.”
Spider-Man is rumored to be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future, and someone else who recently commented on the hopes of being a part of that was “Twilight” actress Kristen Stewart who tells Yahoo she’s “sure I could get on board with Captain America, you know what I mean?”.
