Fox 2000 must be very happy with its upcoming film adaptation of the John Green novel “The Fault In Our Stars”. The studio has now closed a deal to turn Green’s 2008 novel “Paper Towns” into a film, with the help of many of the key players in the ‘Fault’ adaptation.
Actor-singer Nat Wolff, who co-stars in ‘Fault’, will head up the cast of “Paper Towns” which will also be adapted by the same screenwriters – Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber – and the same producers – Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen.
Set in Orlando, the story follows Quentin, a young man who shared an experience with his neighbor Margo – they found a man who committed suicide.
Having grown apart, he finds her at his bedroom window one night and she’s dressed like a ninja. She enlists him in a campaign to get revenge on people who have hurt her.
The next day, she vanishes as he is left to ponder the ramifications of the evening, until he starts receiving clues from her and has to follow them.
Josh Boone directs “The Fault in Our Stars” which opens in June, it’s unknown if he will return for “Paper Towns” at this time or if someone else is already lined up.
