Fast Five Helmer Signs First Look Deal

With “Fast Five” generating money hand over fist for Universal Pictures, the studio has quickly signed a two-year first-look deal with that film’s director Justin Lin and his Barnstorm Pictures reports Screen Daily.

The company’s current slate includes spy action thriller “Leading Man”, an untitled project about a WWII Japanese American battalion, and a Robert Glickert-directed untitled sci-fi/crime thriller.

Lin himself remains attached to direct a fifth “Terminator”, the comic adaptation “Lone Wolf And Cub”, the western “Brigands Of Rattleborge”, the psychological drama “We Disappear”, and a sixth entry in the ‘Fast’ franchise.
