Colin Farrell is set to star in “After Yang,” the second feature of South Korean filmmaker Kogonada following his acclaimed debut “Columbus”. The project has just been greenlit by A24.
The story, an adaptation of the Alexander Weinstein short story “Saying Goodbye to Yang,” follows a father and daughter as they try to save the life of their robotic family member.
Kogonada will both pen the adaptation and helm while Cinereach (“Sorry to Bother You,” “Shirkers”) and Theresa Park’s Per Capita Productions will produce.
Farrell recently starred in “Widows” and will soon be seen in Tim Burton’s “Dumbo,” Guy Ritchie’s “Bush” and Tate Taylor’s “Eve”.
