Fanning Yamadera To Voice Anime Gen Lock

Dakota Fanning and Kōichi Yamadera will join Michael B. Jordan in the voice cast of Rooster Teeth’s upcoming western anime series “Gen:Lock”.

The story revolves around Earth’s last free society which is on the losing side of a global war and desperately seeks recruits to operate the next generation of giant, weaponized robots known as ‘mecha’.

Jordan plays rebel pilot Julian Chase, Fanning is expert mech pilot Miranda Worth who is Chase’s love interest, and Yamadera is Kazu Iida who is a fresh recruit fighting alongside Jordan’s character.

“Gen:Lock” is slated to premiere in January 2019 on Rooster Teeth’s subscription service which starts at $4.99 per month. Gray G. Haddock serves as series showrunner.
