Fallout 4 Launch Causes Porn Usage Drop

It seems people were so keen to use their hands to play “Fallout 4” on their consoles or keyboards that they forgot to use them for something else.

Major pornography site Pornhub has posted a report suggesting that their traffic – approximately 60 million daily visitors – was hit hard by the release of “Fallout 4” on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

The company has some in-depth statistics showcasing traffic dives at midnight (when the game became available) and throughout the morning of the day of the game’s release. Numbers went back up in the afternoon, but after quitting time at 5pm the traffic dived and dropped by around 10% by 9pm as people got off work and played the game. Traffic surged back up after 10pm, and spiked by 15% the day after.

There’s even a breakdown of gamers who were impacted by this with sports game fans being the ones who fled the porn site the most (down 13.7%) and shooter fans the least (down 1.2%).
