Ezra Miller Up For “Potter” Spin-Off Film

He’s already set to play The Flash as part of the DC Cinematic Universe, now “Perks of Being a Wallflower” star Ezra Miller is signing on for another major franchise at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Miller is reportedly in early talks for the role of Kredan in “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” the upcoming spin-off in the “Harry Potter” film series. Miller was reportedly always favorite and emerged in the last week as the top choice for the role.

Set seven decades before the Potter saga, “Fantastic Beasts” follows the adventures of author Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), a magic zoologist who studies magical creatures.

Kredan is a person with magical powers who encounters Scamander when he stops in New York City on his travels to find and document magical creatures. David Yates directs, David Heyman produces, and J.K. Rowling herself is penning the script.

Katherine Waterston is already on board for the role of Tina, and Alison Sudol is thought to be the top choice for her younger sister Queenie.
