Boasting a bunch of new footage, a new extended TV spot is out for Christopher Nolan’s WW2 epic “Dunkirk” which tracks the evacuation – from land, air and sea – of the titular beach during World War II.
The films opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.
The spot arrives as tickets for the 70MM engagements of the film go on sale now, two days prior to regular engagements of the film. This 70MM release will be the widest release in that format in 25 years, and a list of participating cinemas is up at the official site.
Shot on location in France, the film stars the likes of Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, James D’Arcy and Harry Styles.
The film opens July 21st.
