“Expanse” Producers To Adapt “Gideon Falls”

Hivemind has acquired the screen rights to Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino’s Image Comics title “Gideon Falls” with plans to adapt it into a series.

Blending rural mystery and urban horror, the story follows a mystery connecting a Catholic priest sent to a small town and a recluse obsessed with uncovering a conspiracy theory hidden in a city’s trash. Ghosts and a sinister black barn soon tie-in to the action.

Lemire and Sorrentino will serve as executive producers alongside Jason Brown, Sean Daniel, Kathy Lingg and Dinesh Shamdasani. Hivemind is also known for “The Expanse” now at Amazon, the in development “The Witcher” series and Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming film “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark”.

They recently signed a first-look deal with Amazon Studios which will be the likely home for ‘Gideon’.
