Evangelion Ultraman More Hitting Netflix

When it comes to anime that truly crossed over and had an impact outside of the form’s fandom, there are three real juggernauts – “Akira,” “Ghost in the Shell” and “Neon Genesis Evangelion”.

Yesterday, during a presentation at the Akiba Theatre in Tokyo, Netflix has announced that Hideaki Anno’s ‘Evangelion’ is set to make its streaming debut on the service in 2019 which will include the entire 26 episode run and the two films ‘Death & Rebirth’ and ‘The End of Evangelion’ which effectively replace the highly contentious last two episodes.

That’s not all though as “Ultraman” and “Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac” will also be coming to the service next year along with the stop-motion animated series “Rilakkuma and Kaoru” and the high-profile “7seeds” about five sets of seven young men and women who survive an extinction level event on a deserted island.
