Appearing at New York Comic Con, actress Evangeline Lilly has offered an update on the progress of “Ant-Man and The Wasp” and in the process revealed that her Hope Van Dyne character will be appearing in one of the upcoming “Avengers” films.
Blastr caught up with Lilly who says it’s still “very early days” with the story only now beginning to take shape. She adds she’s excited because we’ll get to see her origin story:
“I’m excited because its essentially going to be the origin of the Wasp. Of course, we’re going to see the Wasp for the first time take on the mantle, and put on the suit, and fly about, and do her thing. Following that one, there’s an Avengers series coming out, I believe its a two-parter, and the Wasp won’t be in the first part, she’ll be in the second part because they want to preserve that reveal for Ant-Man and the Wasp.”
“Ant-Man and the Wasp” is set for release on July 6th 2018 while the fourth “Avengers” is scheduled for a May 2019 release.
