Ten years on, the “Training Day” team of director Antoine Fuqua and leading men Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke are coming together again for the upcoming remake of the 1960 classic western “The Magnificent Seven” at MGM.
Hawke has reportedly begun final negotiations to join the already cast Washington in the film which Fuqua will direct. Chris Pratt and Haley Bennett are also on board to star.
The original film, a remake itself of Akira Kurosawa’s “Seven Samurai,” followed seven gunslingers who protect an oppressed Mexican village from a group of outlaws.
John Lee Hancock and Nic Pizzolatto have worked on the script.
