Eric Bana is set to play Uther Pendragon, the father of King Arthur, in Guy Ritchie’s “Knights of the Round Table” at Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow.
Charlie Hunnam is set to play Arthur and Astrid Berges-Frisbey is Guinevere in the project, though script details are under wraps. Jude Law is in talks for the role of the villain.
Ritchie will direct from a script by Joby Harold, and the pair will produce with Lionel Wigram, Akiva Goldsman and Tory Tunnell.
Liam Neeson was originally considered for the role but passed. The film will be the first of a proposed six-film series with the first to open on July 22nd 2016.
