Sony Pictures has completely shaken up their 2017 release schedule, making some big changes following the five month delay of the adaptation of Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower” earlier this morning.
That film has been pushed from February 17th to July 28th next year, and as a result a few other titles have been shuffled around. First up, both “T2 Trainspotting” and the “Flatliners” reboot have suffered only a minor one month delay. ‘T2’ goes from February 3rd to March 3rd, while “Flatliners” moves from August 18th to September 29th.
More severe is the Dwayne Johnson-led “Jumanji” reboot and Edgar Wright’s highly anticipated “Baby Driver”, both of which have also been delayed five months. ‘Baby’ was set for March 17th but will now open August 11th. “Jumanji” has moved from July 28th to December 22nd.
Finally there’s “The Equalizer 2,” the sequel to the Denzel Washington and Antoine Fuqua film which has been delayed a full year – from September 29th 2017 to September 14th 2018.
