Epix To Launch Offline Film Viewing

Premium cable network Epix has announced that, from later this month, they will let subscribers watch movies on mobile devices when they’re not connected to the Internet.

The move comes as Epix’s licensing pact with Netflix expires at the end of September, and Netflix itself says it has no plans to offer its users offline viewing capabilities.

Epix touts his as a first for a traditional TV network and comes as their newest deals now open their catalogue to both Hulu and Amazon Prime customers.

The offline-viewing feature will be available on its mobile apps for Amazon Kindle Fire tablets, and all Apple and Google Android smartphones and tablets.
