Episode VII To Shoot In Abu Dhabi

Is Morocco out and the United Arab Emirates in?

Four weeks of filming on “Star Wars: Episode VII” is set to take place in and around Abu Dhabi beginning mid-May according to Heat Vision.

The J.J. Abrams-led film is expected to re-create the desert planet Tatooine for the shoot, though it’s not known if any filming will take place within the bustling, modern metropolis as well.

This marks the second major high-profile studio shoot to exploit the city recently with the seventh “Fast and Furious” film also making use of the location.
