Entertainment Weekly Reduced To Monthly

Publisher Meredith Corp. has announced they are scaling back Entertainment Weekly’s magazine publication schedule to once a month with the first to be a Comic-Con centric issue to debut in July.

The magazine will continue to produce special interest magazines to coincide with big entertainment industry moments.

However its focus will now be more on producing digital-only feature reporting, in-depth guides for tentpole events, podcasts and a new schedule of video offerings.

JD Heyman will become the new editor in chief, replacing Henry Goldblattwho will step down after 17 years with the publication.
