Irish actor Emmett Scanlan (“The Fall,” “Guardians of the Galaxy”) is set to recur as Jim Corrigan, a.k.a. The Spectre, in NBC’s upcoming TV series “Constantine”.
Debuting in 1940 in the comics, Corrigan is a cop murdered by a group of criminals. He comes back as a supernatural defender of justice named The Spectre who will break the law if it means taking down bad guys.
In the TV series, Corrigan will be a New Orleans detective rather than a cop. Whether he becomes The Spectre on the show, or in how many episodes he will appear, is unknown at this point. The series is set to debut on October 24th.
