Roland Emmerich is in talks to direct the action drama “White House Down” at Sony Pictures says Deadline.
James Vanderbilt (“The Amazing Spider-Man”) penned the story which deals with a paramilitary takeover of the White House. Sony paid $3 million for the script, the highest amount for a spec script sale so far this year.
Emmerich, Vanderbilt, Harald Kloser, Bradley Fischer and Laeta Kalogridis will produce. Shooting aims to kick off this Fall.
