Emma Watson is the top contender for the female lead role in the sci-fi prison thriller “Incarceron” for Fox 2000 reports Just Jared.
Based on Catherine Fisher’s young-adult novel series, the dystopian fantasy follows a young man named Finn (Taylor Lautner) incarcerated in a futuristic and completely self-contained living prison ruled by rivalry and savagery.
The daughter (Watson) of the prison’s warden lives outside in a future world made to resemble the 17th century and is being forced into an arranged marriage. Both find a device, a crystal key, which allows them to communicate with each other and hatch a plan to escape their respective incarcerations.
Jennifer Lawrence and Blake Lively were previously considered the front runners for the role. Adam Cooper and Bill Collage (“Moby Dick”) are adapting the script while Hugh Jackman and John Palermo will produce, though no director is yet attached.
