Ellen Page Escapes From Hell

“Juno” star and Oscar nominee Ellen Page has dropped out of Sam Raimi’s supernatural thriller “Drag Me to Hell” due to scheduling conflicts.

In a joint statement to Shock Til You Drop from Ghost House Pictures and Mandate Pictures, it was revealed that the start date of the production was pushed back as the project wasn’t going to be ready to complete before the potential SAG strike date.

The delay meant that the filmmakers could not accommodate Ellen’s schedule and so she has departed. The project marks the first post-“Spiderman” film for Sam Raimi and is written by both Raimi and his brother Ivan.
