Actress Elle Fanning is set to star in actor Max Minghella’s directorial debut “Teen Spirit” for Interscope Records, Automatik, and Blank Tape.
Fanning will play a shy teenager, living in a small European town, who dreams of pop stardom as a means of escaping her dismal surroundings and shattered family life.
Minghella also wrote the screenplay which he developed with Jamie Bell. Fred Berger and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones serve as producers.
Fanning recently finished filming Sofia Coppola’s “The Beguiled,” is currently filming Melanie Laurent’s “Galveston” and will be seen later this year in “Sidney Hall,” “How to Talk to Girls at Parties” and “Mary Shelley” – the latter of which released its first still recently which you can see above.
