Elizabeth Banks Is Said To Be “Expecting”

Elizabeth Banks has confirmed via Twitter that she has joined the cast of “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” at Lionsgate.

Kirk Jones (“Waking Ned Devine,” “Nanny McPhee”) is directing the ensemble film, which was acquired from a script by Heather Hach and re-written by Shauna Cross (“Whip It!”). The film is based on the pregnancy self-help book by Heidi Murkoff that has been on the New York Times bestseller list for over 500 weeks.

The film’s story follows four couples on the path to having a baby. Banks will play a baby-crazy children’s book author and owner of The Breast Choice boutique who thinks she knows what all the ingredients are in being a perfect Mom until she becomes pregnant with her first child.

Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick, Chris Rock, Matthew Morrison and Rodrigo Santoro also star.
