Elizabeth Banks Gets Drunk For “People”

Elizabeth Banks is negotiations for the female lead role in Alex Kurtzman’s family drama “Welcome to People” for Dreamworks Pictures reports Risky Biz Blog.

The story follows a struggling twenty-something junk dealer (Chris Pine) who returns home to Los Angeles for the funeral of his estranged record-producer father.

His late dad’s last will stipulates that he delivers $150,000 in cash to a 30-year-old alcoholic sister (Banks) he never knew existed. Determined to keep the money, he makes contact with her and her troubled teenage son anyway but doesn’t reveal who he really is.

Kurtzman directs from a script he co-wrote with Roberto Orci and Jody Lambert. Kurtzman, Orci and Bobby Cohen will produce.
