Elizabeth Banks (“Spider-Man,” “Slither,” “Seabiscuit”) will star in the horror remake “A Tale of Two Sisters” for DreamWorks says The Hollywood Reporter.
Based on the Kim Jee-Woon’s 2003 Korean horror film of the same name, the story revolves around two sisters who return home to their father after spending time in a mental institution.
Their recovery is hindered by their cruel stepmother’s (Banks) obsessiveness and an interfering ghost. Craig Rosenberg adapted the English-language screenplay.
Thomas and Charles Guard will direct and shooting is scheduled to begin July in Shreveport, Louisiana.
