Michael Eklund (“The Call,” “Errors of the Human Body,” “Watchmen”) will star in an untitled indie psychological thriller centering on world-famous 19th century photographer Eadweard Muybridge.
Muybridge was a world-famous 19th century photographer who took pictures of nude and deformed subjects. He also killed his wife’s lover and received a justifiable homicide verdict.
Muybridge found fame though with his landscape shots and pioneering motion photography with his zoopraxiscope device – what is considered the first movie projector.
Kyle Rideout helms from a script he co-wrote with Josh Epstein and based on the 2006 play “Studies in Motion: The Hauntings of Eadweard Muybridge”. Shooting will kick off this summer in Vancouver.
