Warner Bros. Pictures is reportedly in discussions with Jesse Eisenberg to reprise his Lex Luthor character in David Ayer’s upcoming “Suicide Squad” film.
Eisenberg plays the villain in Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” and his inclusion in ‘Squad’ would give the film an obvious link back to the greater DC Cinematic Universe which the film doesn’t really appear to have on the surface.
There’s a problem though, Eisenberg is being lined up to star in the Todd Phillips-directed “Arms And The Dudes” and it’s unlikely he’ll be able to do both. He’s also committed to a certain “Now You See Me” sequel and a potential “Zombieland” sequel which is moving forward again.
The likes of Will Smith and Tom Hardy are the being sought to star in “Suicide Squad” which Charles Roven is producing.
