Jesse Eisenberg will team with J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions for the half-hour single-camera comedy series “The Market”.
Eisenberg will pen, direct and star in the series in which a widower moves to Pittsburgh to live with his adult son (Eisenberg). Both men simultaneously lose their jobs due to the changing American economy and are thrust into an unforgiving job market.
Eisenberg, Abrams and Ben Stephenson will executive produce. This joins Bad Robot’s other series in the works which include a second season of HBO’s “Westworld,” Hulu’s Stephen King linked universe series “Castle Rock,” and a series about a fictionalized version of RuPaul and his rise from club kid to drag queen icon.
