At last report the likes of Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, Jack Reynor, Scott Eastwood, Logan Lerman, Emory Cohen and Blake Jenner were all rumored candidates to take on the role of a younger version of Harrison Ford’s iconic “Star Wars” bounty hunter character Han Solo.
Whomever is chosen will star in the upcoming stand-alone spin-off film being directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller which is currently targeting a May 25th 2018 release date. There’s also the possibility that once selected, they’ll be hired to shoot a cameo for the upcoming first spin-off feature “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”.
Today, a new report over at StarWarsNews claims that two more names have been added to the list – “Kingsman: The Secret Service” star Taron Egerton and “Hail, Caesar!” scene stealer Alden Ehrenreich. The report indicates the pair have auditioned multiple times for the role and in fact auditioned both separately and together which suggests they might be up for different roles.
There’s a catch, El Mayimbe has looked into the report and claims its a hoax, one committed by a serial scammer. Whomever is chosen will be announced in coming months.
