Zac Efron is slipping on the red short shots and is in negotiations to star opposite Dwayne Johnson in the “Baywatch” for Paramount Pictures.
“Horrible Bosses” director Seth Gordon helms the big screen action/comedy take on the 1990s television series about California lifeguards.
Johnson plays a by-the-book and very serious lifeguard who is forced to team up with a young rule-flouting hothead (Efron) in order to save their beach from environmental destruction at the hands of an oil tycoon.
Damian Shannon and Mark Swift wrote the most recent draft of the script and shooting is aiming to begin around February following years of development. Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman are producing.
